I drove my 6th grader by the site tonight and he is wondering why they picked that site. As I drove by it, it makes no sense why they would choose this site. Did I hear that they are still receiving offers from another site? Did Dr. D. announce at the homeowners meeting they were still getting offers?

Does it bother anyone that Macom doesn't own all that land? And that they offered it up to the school district without clearing it with Naperville Park District? And that they are in some kind of litigation with Naperville Park District? (so I doubt NPD is going to be real open to wanting to be of service)?
Where I come from, those are some red flags that you want to avoid; Mr L. doesn't sound trustworthy?

Oh and from what I understand - the 6th graders at Granger and Hill thinks its a terrific site. It's all in one's perspective, I guess ...

I don't think the kids from MV/Hill are too happy with the site. WVHS will be lost without Brookdale and moving Steck and Young out away won't improve that. So why would they send Brookdale at MV now?

I'll make sure I explain that to my child and their friends @ Hill who are extremely upset at the thought of not attending Waubonsie - maybe because they're 8th graders they don't quite share that same perspective.
