Why not take a guess?

might want to start a survey - there might be time as I'm hearing 1:30 - 4:00 for the announcement. I will go on record with AME as my bestguess as to what's been chosen sorry - didn't see the survey attached - one step ahead of me Bob

I put my guess with AME. I have extremely mixed feelings about this site both from a personal and district-wide perspective.

For my very first post.. (so be nice) I say they release AME as the selection today. Public comment and pressure build to a point where Macom drops its price and the disctrict understand the timeline is not as important. In two weeks, it magically switches to Macom. Just a thought.

Welcome! I've read your blogs in the sun potluck. Great stuff!
Edit to add: I hope you are correct in your assumption.

Why wouldn't Macom just drop it's price in the first place?

I am voting where I think it will end up, not where I want it.

(Thanks newbie. appreciated.)
Macom is not exactly known for their charitably dealings. I want to believe that Macom would go low. Given the public whooping both Dash and M2 have taken, I am not sure I would come out with my best offer either. The team of Dash and M2 do not exactly have a winning track record.
I might be giving the district to much credit but I think this is a negotiation ploy against both BB and Macom. Today is just a recommendation announcement. It does not really mean anything.

I put my vote at BB. I know that might sound crazy but I still hold out thinking that the SB has just been posturing for the BB site all along. They'll announce AME as their top choice, a majority of the public will jump up and down screaming and crying "foul!" then they'll step back and magically find the $$$ to go with BB. They'll go to a 2010 date (thereby magically saving $10M) and we'll move ahead with a seriously expensive piece of land but everyone will be back to being "happy".
Heck at this point, I'm not even sure where I'd like it to be. I have kids that will be immediately be impacted by this decision and I don't even know what I want but I know what I don't want (AME). I'd probably pick Macom or Rte. 30 as my top and then BB.
By the way, did anyone happen to notice that Oswego SB released the rights to the land at 111th/Rte. 30? Maybe everyone will be fooled and that's where the site is headed! Wouldn't that be a hoot if we've spent forever examining all sites and then the SB comes in with the dark horse ;D.
