Why hasn't Gumby answered my question? I've seen no/cfo people take other people's moniker's from this board & use them elsewhere. That's cute. Can we stay on topic? Marge, would you care to help us figure out who cfo is and what their motivations are? I'll just let you rock on. But rest assured that many no voters made up their own mind and havent' even heard of CFO. I love it when Topher says things like "Stop it".

Let's get back to shining some light onto CFO

Q: Is GV still involved in CFO....has he been replaced, muscled out, stepped down? I was accustomed to seeing him present at every SB meeting and frequent LTE?

It doesn't seem they do.

I saw that Barbara Sullivan, PHD! had a LTE today in The Sun. It's a very interesting perspective from someone who's kids don't have to suffer through it.
I'm not keeping track, but do they think we don't know it's CFO bombarding the sun with lte's? Now that we know they have a completely alternate agenda, every time I see a letter from P. White or one of the Ohlhausens or Kern or now, Sullivan, or Chris V, I skip over it.

While I realize that I am stating the obvious, I guess what saddens me the most is that groups like CRAFT and other individuals are out to defeat the referendum purely for the sake of defeating the referendum. While I wish everyone would vote yes on this one, I understand they have the right to vote no. But I believe it is absolutely IMMORAL for those who incite others to try to vote something down for nothing more than another notch in their belt of referendums turned down.

voteyes, that is exactly how I perceive this group. It is a GAME to them. And ITRF, they will pack up and move on to the next one. Leaving behind us to pick up the pieces and deal with the overcrowding, S/S and loss of quality education for our children.
BTW-As I was driving on Ogden, east of the tracks, I noticed that CV's subdivision had Vote No signs at the entrance signs. Wonder if she is on their HOA board?

I am looking at the newest "information" being distributed by CFO. Lot of stuff, two-sided. At the top mentions CFO asked the Will-DuPage Taxpayer's Alliance, an independent tax watchdog group to estimate the cost of staffing and operating a 3rd HS. On the bottom, they mention, a copy of our report is or will be on file wiht the State Board of Elections, Springfield, IL.

Translations
Ari ask Kate to ask Ari about what number to pull out the air.
Independent? I needed a good laugh. And how does a group led by a lawyer on property problems have the knowledge to make cost estimation of a HS.
I will save CFO the time. Ari is going to say $30 million a year to operate the Third HS. Strike that $.000030 Trillion a year.

While I considered myself somewhat worldly, I know now I am naive - I can't believe there are groups like this in responsible, respectable positions that will manipulate just for the sake of manipulating and screwing a govenment body. I thought these people lived on compounds. It is very alarming!

Actually about $15 million per year, 3 TIMES THAT ESTIMATED BY DISTRICT 204.
Also shows full impact of likely tax bill increases if the 124.6 mil ref. is approved. A 300,000 will pay in 2010 $2554 tax increase, all kinds of fine print and my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Any reason the new school would be significantly different?

By the way, nothing really about capacity except having over 3,000 excess elem. school seats, so Peterson will NEVER be needed as an ES.
ETA: I'm sorry, so much there. There is a fact about capacity. They tell you to call the State Board of Education and they will tell you capacity is 10,228 at HS.
