I guess Dan Denys is another member of the Will/Dupage Taxpayers Alliance and possibly CFO as well. Does anyone know anything about Dan Denys?

Trend anyone? Vouchers anyone? There is an elephant in the room....
I would be all for vouchers but voting no to needed public school infrastructure is not the way to pass that kind of legislation.
Topher- let's keep kid's names out of this

Yeah, I think this is all about a total Republican platform. I kept wondering what was driving this whole thing. Now I think I get it. Unfortunately they'll prove their point by destroying the public school system for a generation of kids while we wait for vouchers to clear congress. Nice job guys. You might want to have that legislation in place before you start your dismantling of our district..

www.heartland.org/IssueSuites.cfm?issId=3If anyone is interested in the "end game" here it is. Found this through a few clicks on the CRAFT site. Their tagline? "Government schools are islands of socialism in a sea of competition and choice." Yikes. Better go get my manifesto.

At the very least, I know now what the terms 'fiscally conservative' and 'taxpayer watchdog' are code for ...looney far right extremist. I received some election material from candidates with similar wording and I know who NOT to vote for.

Annoyingly, the PW person who contributed to the CFO people works for the same company I do. I'm ticked.

It's getting late, but I did have one last observation of CFO tonight. From their current home page: Has anyone gone to www.taxpayeralliance.org ? It's a phoney baloney site! There's a home page and one other page that has some pretty numbers & graphs. Try clicking around the site. It's like the facade of a building used on a movie soundstage. Kinda looks real at a glance, but upon close inspection, there's nothing there. Gee, I wonder if this site was quickly slapped up to impress/fool a few people that wanted to quickly verify that this a legitimate group, with a legit web site. Well, it has a picture of a dad, grandpa & son, and a picture of a kid waving a flag - they must be legit! One thing, though, the pictures of the kids on the site are closest I've seen to anything from CFO, CRAFT, or taxpayeralliance that has anything to do with kids. That's about as close as they'll get though, remember their mantra: "school referendum, BAD!".

Is tomorrow the day that they disassociate themselves from the districts where they helped to defeat the referendums in?

The next referendums aren't for a while.

I am worried for our neighboring districts being targeted by The Will Dupage Taxpayers Alliance as well. 203 is a big target with 2 on the SB. WDTA is also gunning to take down Hinsdale (I think I read on their website?). Maybe we need to form the Will Dupage Neighbors for Schools to help all of our districts withstand the assault. CRAFT's home district in Harvard (50) surely needs our help. 6 straight referendums have failed.
