I'm just after a third HS, anywhere. NSFOC is not. So, please do not try to put us in the same boat.

At this point the ball is in the SD's court and it's a waiting game. Yup... I hope they take their time to think, then act rather than just react. what are the odds of that ?

Some people may not like his methods, but the man can get crap done and quick. Now, thanks in great part to NSFOC's intimidation and bullying he's going to have to do his job over again. "Didn't I just clean up this mess?" the history of the business world is littered with hatchet men who churn and burn, and 'get things done' - and then leave ....the smoldering ruins behind usually take years to 'remediate' - if ever.

Sashimi Great quotes. I'm in agreement as well. I place the MOST blame for this debacle on the current leadership of 204- Dr. Daeschner and the school board. Stop pitting people against each other and find a solution. I am in total agreement with your statement. Let none of us forget what has happened, let none of us become complacent. We got a taste of how necessary it is to pay attention to local issues in '06 and have had the lesson handed to us again in '08. Turn off Oprah and get to the voting booth on election day!!!!!

Turn off Oprah and get to the voting booth on election day!!!!! complacency is the issue -- Ikeep saying that makes up the true silent majority for whatever reason. Maybe if the SB wasn't so complacent and would have put 5 minutes of effort into the 2005 referendum vote - and the voters of this district weren't so damned complacent not to find out why they should have gone out to vote -- more than 12% would have showed up as a few hundred votes more then and we'd likely be opening that school this fall. Information and making educated decisions -- many of us in 204 do this for a living every single day - yet it has taken nothing short of utter chaos to get more people involved in school issues.

I'm sorry Sashimi. I'm not buying the whole "We've got what we wanted. Now let's all try to get along" crap. You are an NSFOC supporter? rural, to be fair...weren't we all expected to 'understand' and forgive Brookdale for voting 80% against the referendum? And I believe most people did.

I think NSFOC is simply trying to enforce what was voted on. slp, I respectfully disagree. I believe what was voted on was a third HS. Maybe my ballot was the only one in the district that didn't have the BB wording on it. So, is NSFOC trying to enforce what THEY THINK we all voted on, or are they just trying to flush the third HS down the toilet? We'll see in a few days. I hope you are right and the district wins the golden ticket and the BB folks decide to suddenly become saints. Otherwise, it is something else and the lawsuit continues.

I hope you are right and the district wins the golden ticket and the BB folks decide to suddenly become saints. Otherwise, it is something else and the lawsuit continues. I really am tired of all this ' what the ballot said' nonsense. The referendum was sold night and day, 24 x 7 by everyone from the SB to the Admin to 204tk as the school will be at BB and here are the boundaries. It may be convenient to hide behind the ballot wording - but if you remmeber the reason given for the ballot wording - by our SB and admin ( mentioned many times at PTA meetings) was ithat the boundaries were decided too late to change the wording on the ballot - or else we would have had to update it and not vote until the election after it. I was part of the group who wrote a lot of that exact stuff for presentations and fliers - under direction as to what we were to say. So please stop the what the ballot said ....you know EXACTLY what was sold and what people voted on. In 2005 we voted for a 3rd HS only- how'd that turn out ? unless you're telling me it was orchestrated to purposely mislead the population - which is a whole other charge , this is what was sold to everyone who read a paper/ answeredtheir door to someone coming around, read any flier they got at a grocery store, or read the districts own web site..... hundreds of copies of offiicial documents as well as PAC generated documents sit in the hands of those saying - give us what you sold us...
