I have been looking for Option 6. can you post what it looked like?? And didn't JC want to switch Gombert and Wheatland in the end?? I believe it was a Gombert/Brookdale switch in the end.

Really I think with the Wheatland/Gombert switch and except for the splits of Gombert and Owen don't we have Option 6??
Macy the Gombert Brookdale switch was in BGs Option 5.
But JCs original Option 6 she had Gombert going to NVHS and Wheatland going to WVHS and then she wanted to amend it and that's when that last meeting fell apart because they were fighting over Rules of Order
Wasn't it CB who gave that tearful speech about how Option 6 would never get the ref passed?? But that's when Cow/MW/and Owen had closer commutes...I guess Brooks and Young would've increased, but I thought I saw an email from Brooks encouraging people to support it.

I can't scan it, but here it is:
Option 6 WVHS: Fry, Georgetown, Mccarty,Peterson,Steck,Wheatland(split),WE (everything W of 59 on the south end)
Metea at BB: Brookdale,Brooks,Cowlishaw,Gombert,Longwood,Owen,Watts,Welch(split),Young (this gives the North the new school)
NVHS: Builta,Clow,Gombert,Graham,Kendall,Patterson,Springbook,Welch(split),Wheatland(split)
This is the Option that BG went crazy over because of all the kids having to cross RR tracks. Ha Ha.
The switch I think you are talking about was in Option 5A.

With the exception of Gombert and Wheatland isn't that exactly what the admin proposed?

Even an unimproved lot in this area--and there are some in the area one is available right on Molitor Road--sells for a great deal more than AME is asking. ETA: I'm actually not sure of the asking price of the land just guessing. Is someone a RE agent who can look it up? Ok, just surfing the internet and came up with some interesting land prices. Again, wish I'd have been the one who bought that AME land for $35 an acre back then. Didn't find anything on Molitor, rural, but that doesn't mean it isn't out there. I don't know any of these land parcels so take these prices for what they are worth. I am posting for fun, not to prove a point. Disqualifier: I am not a land appraiser. You can make up your own mind on whether we got a good deal. Also, these look to be currently for sale, not sold. Lot 12, Ginger Woods Parkway, zoned industrial. $310,000 for 1.36 acre = $227,941/acre 30W575 Ferry farmland $750,000 for 3.23 acres = $232,198/acre 30W020 Estes St. zoned commercial $750,000 for 1.64 ares = 457,317/acre and this is in Warrenville! Commons and McCoy --couple of lots $1,750,000 for 1.73 acres. Wow, that's $1M/acre for land near BB. 716 Rt. 59 --another lot I think $1,400,000 for 1.62 acres = $864,197/acre AGain, I know nothing about vacant land/commercial real estate so I don' t know if these things even compare to AME. I'm sure the problem the SB faced is that there are no comparable properties with 80+ acres.

When Dash first talked about drawing boundaries...he drew horizontal lines across the district map, north, central, south.
Funny how it ended up looking exactly like Option 6. Thanks d204M

Wow, I wish you were on the real estate appraisal advisory team for district 204 during the BB condemnation suit! Where did the comparables 204 offered up in court come from? If someone can surf the net that quickly and come up with valuable information, why did we get so burned in the condemnation suit? ETA: "Commons and McCoy --couple of lots $1,750,000 for 1.73 acres. Now take the numbers...
+250 from Gombert to WV. plus 150 from Owen East to WV
-250 fromGombert leaving NV, + 450 from Peterson to NV
Option 6 numbers change MV decreases by 150 Wv increases by 400 NV increases by 200
looks like some movement should be necessary. Hey let's do boundaries!

How long would it take to perform land appraisal (since AT said they did not have enough time)?

Hey let's do boundaries! I don't get your point. We had what seemed to be 1,001 boundary options floated in 2006. It doesn't seem too far-fetched that one of them would resemble our current boundary plan for MV without there being a consipiracy if that's what you're suggesting.

What about boundary proposal 6A? The last minute motion during the final boundary meeting in NVHS's freshman center gymnasium. Remember, the motion that caused the board seeking Robert's rules regulations from the audience? I have a vivid recollection of a desperate search for someone (an attorney) with knowledge of Robert's rules and motions, etc. That was the Brookdale/Gombert switch, no? Option 6 was not the final proposal. Remember 6A? Oh, the good old times.
