Rural, I really am not trying to pick on you, but I wanted to bring something up. You gave me a hard time the other day for not driving down to this site, but I don't see you giving any of the SB members a hard time for not driving down there before making their decision....I am amazed that they can make this decision without visiting the site.....I am surprised they didn't try and buy this land as is.....

Dont' ge me wrong. I am appalled that anyone on the School Board has not been out to see the site. I'm not just talking a quick driveby to see where it is either. I was as shocked as everyone else with BG's comment at the Board meeting. Board members aren't salaried, so like I said before, that's what you get for nothing. I, too, want and independent evaluation of the MWGEN site, and will be very disappointed if they do not take this additional measure of precaution before moving ahead with the site. I personally don't care whether we have a third HS at AME or BB. Obviously, my preference is AME, but if there is evidence of contamination from something other than DFO, then I would not have a problem with the Board walking away from the site. I would hope that the Board wouldn't either.

What can we possibly do if the school board buys the land as they plan to on Wednesday?
The only way to stop them is NSFOC filing a injunction to stop the sale because buying the land would cause irreperable harm to thier issue.

Thanks for your post....again, I am not trying to give you a hard time....I agree with you on your comment about what you get for nothing.... I realize that. We're all just trying to work though this. Everyone just wants answers. This is a frustrating situation and tensions are high. I try not to take anything personally on this board. I know I am in the minority. Sometimes things get under my skin and I overreact, but I'm trying very hard not to.

I move back and forth across the emotional spectrum as well...

I am glad you are here, b/c you offer a different perspective than mine and IMO that is important. You might be in the minority, but it is something that is needed to bring balance.

If they are getting $0.00 for the job, why do they shut out others making $0.00 for their work, and who are willing to work and provide them with information over and over that has proven (by their own admission) to be more accurate than their information.? Baffling.

I agree with the exception of the minority/majority implications. I am glad all are here regardless of their opinions. We are all in the school district therefore WE ARE ALL the majority.

Arch, agree 100%. I should not have used the minority comment in my response (just responding to rural)....but I do believe everyone having different opinions brings some balance to this board and it is truly needed. I also agree with your comment about ALL of us getting $0.0 for our work...that is an excellent point.
