So Hamman was far less, but they chose not to got with it. Hell - what's a few million savings to this SB? Dash may or may not have pissed that away in legal costs, but then, he's really not sure....

I think the 09 opening was the biggest factor.
I would like to see how they can pull this off.

^ 09 (if it happens) is a big thing, not long-term for the district, but if it means one less year a middle-schooler has to be in a severly crowded situation then that can make a big difference before they're dropped in the big high school pool.

I think the 09 opening was the biggest factor. I would like to see how they can pull this off. It won't open in 2009. Someone will file a lawsuit against the district (and probably against the dash personally), which will delay the opening, and add to the cost.

I expected the AME recommendatiion. But I expected it to be for a lot more in savings. I thought it was goign to be irrefutable, a no brainer, to move the site. Now we are going to spend $145M and turn the district upside down to supposedly save $6M? What about the $6M they have wasted by losing the fall start.
This is a sad day for the district. All this grief and additional delay to save a potential 4%? Shame on them. I wouldn't drive from Best Buy to Circuit Cuity to save 4%!

Like it or not, the school will be on this new site. They can try to file all the lawsuits they want, but on what basis?? Just because they didn't get their way?

Sure anyone can file a suit...winning is another matter. I just hope when they lose they have to pay all legal fees.
