Macom has a golden opportunity to be the hero if they move quickly. Do you actually believe they would go to MACOM at any price ? Or at what price ? I think it would be their duty to do so. Unfortunately, I don't trust them to properly carry out their duties.

No. I don't think they carried out their duty with regards to exploring the MACOM site. Macom gave the SB a proposal for a start date of Dec. 07 to begin construction. They lowered their price two times, worked out a deal with the one property owner and park district land, and all agreements have been settled with the city of Naperville (confirmed with city council member). Macom held up their end of the negotiations but our legal eagles didn't do much to finalize the deal. Call over at Macom, they're more than willing to talk and explain how our SB handled everything. IMO, Macom never had a chance. It was AME the whole way (after BB fell through).

How are they going to start when a road runs through middle of the proposed school? The road is going to be there, at least to spring.

Nothing a few detour signs and a bulldozer can't fix in a day. -Several detour signs $500 -Bulldozer for one day $1,000 -Building MVHS in the best location possible....PRICELESS!

Too bad state giovernment doesn't work that fast. That road movement has been postponed at least once. If Naperville would have moved the road in the summer/fall when proposed it would be a non factor.

I talked to a Macom rep almost a year ago. they said the road would be gone by summer '07 no problem. If they wanted to sell the roadshould have been gone by now. Why even waste time on Macom when Haman Farm is right across the tracks and the Oswego district has no objections?

Well the district did not "waste" anytime on either of them based on reviewing the site reports.
