I'm sorry he is a moderator for the Sun's blog. Have a bad Headache tonight. haven't seen the Sun Blogs - heard plenty about the garbage spewed there - 1) why should I care what he says? 2) where does he live? I think he lives in Springbrook.

My kids look at the paper and hear at school about what is going on. It was real fun for them when the paper gave Fry it's bad name. At least I have been able to teach my children to be very careful who they vote for, how these individuals can effect your life. And who gave Fry it's bad name? IIRC it was the parents..... I think the "bad name" is alot of spin designed to accomplish some other objective. The thing is, I don't think people really pay this stuff too much attention. It's all pretty transparent.

Oh, thats right a SMALL number of people got upset at ONE meeting. What I saw from the Brookdale folks was worse, but no bad names for them. Oh there were names for them...they just did not rhyme as well

Point is his opinion was printed in a news paper where the kids can read it and I too could care less what he thinks. Not all the negativity is coming from the parents. I know all my kids hear in my house is concern.

Ditto, I have the same opinion and they tried to do it again with the negative emails and the using the word entitlement at the beginning of the SB meeting.

Unless anyone has seen all of the calls, emails & letters that the SB recieved, how can you say that there wasn't a tone, or even words to the effect, that some people felt entitled to getting the outcome that they wanted/deserved? Didn't one guy at the last meeting say that he bought in naperville and expected to go to a naperville school?

I know all my kids hear in my house is concern. alot of interesting opinions (that's the best I can do without getting mean) get printed in the paper. I totally disagree that not all the negativity is coming from the parents - who's it coming from?

I can write false emails if I wanted to. Unless I hear it come out of someone's mouth can I believe it. And yes there are some who will say they want a Naperville school, does one or two make a majority. It is America after all.

The negativity comes from the SB. Those children attending the SB meeting got to wittness it.

I think he lives in Springbrook. ok, so he is just some parent, assuming he has kids - if not, then he's just one of many 204 residents - should his opinions matter any more than any other 204 resident? When the Sun allows him to use his forum ( and then write an article that is not an LTE ) - to put his opinions and his opinions only into a news ( and I'll use that term news loosely) - article - yes his opinion unfortunately touches more people than it should. Also he may want to pay a little closer attention to ALL that facts - the last I looked the Sun was still claiming to be a newspaper, not a tabloid. So yeah, I have a problem with him also.

Didn't one guy at the last meeting say that he bought in naperville and expected to go to a naperville school? And we had people en masse from another area complaining that they've been here forever and paid for the last high school and now were being asked to pay for another it appeared they would not use. Why is that not the same type of issue ? Now they have their HS though. And if you don't have to ask who I'm talking about - then you know exactly what I am saying. I didn't like either tactic - but it does seem that one is sticking more than another.
