I wouldn't want to call anybody a liar, because that would just be plain rude.
We're not even talking about statistics here. We can't even get accurate data. We haven't even gotten to the statistics yet.
1) Understand the data 2) Don't use incomparable definitions 3) Don't deliberately misinterpret the information
We haven't got accurate data yet.

Topher - I am 100% with you on the WORKING TOGETHER comment. I have come to the conclusion that there are people posting on this board with only one goal in mind - to create confusion, hoping to acheive their NO agenda. ...It's almost like being the 'spokesperson' for CFO. That's why, I'll say it again, I think that group's goal is a NO outcome, no matter the cost to this district or our kids.. NOT trying to provide realistic solutions to our problems. (And by 'cost' I don't just mean money.)

Also the SB is predicting a lot of kids from the 248th sites. 595 at Peterson, 260 at an TBD MS, and 335 kids in the HS level. With this growth being so slow I don't think these kids will be coming any time soon. I feel we should wait to see what happens with this growth.

This may be a rumor, but I heard the Thompson builders got out of Ashwood Creek and is trying to sell his model. I feel this area is going to grow slowly. I don't think some of the construction is set to start until 2007.
Also these are very high priced homes from the 600 to 1 mil range. I feel this will also be another factor in its slow growth. I think Howie talked about this in regards to Peterson sitting empty.

Per Schimd - (WVHS Principle) Reps from the developers are meeting with him today to try to come up with a plan for them to promote their assigned HS - WVHS. I see this as a good sign with some good PR coming WVHS's way.

I think Howie talked about this in regards to Peterson sitting empty. I drove around Ashwood the other day. Ashwood Creek (south of scullen off 248) looked like 4 houses were being lived in. Several model homes built on juneberry- you come out your front door and there is a gigantic, white cell tower across the street (??!); 650K for that? Ashwood Park- 111th north to 103rd- looked like 4 houses being lived in; these houses are $750K+ the ES (Peterson is is the far northwestern corner of the whole Ashwood Creek & Park area- and it's about 1 'block' (i should have measured with my car) from the RR tracks (??) I suppose no one would have wanted their expensive house to be that close (!) to the RR tracks so that's why this parcel of land was donated to build the school on. The club will also be in this part of the subdivision. Then there is Ashwood Crossings- 103rd north to 95th(Wolf Rd when it jogs southwest). This was supposed to have townhomes, retail, maybe a church or mosque; but there was a naperville planning commission last nite Wed 3/1 to change the townhomes to retail- i think- i don't understand all the zoning letters (!)- see below for info: naperville.il.us/emplibrary/PCA03012006.pdfAGENDA NAPERVILLE PLAN COMMISSION MARCH 1, 2006 - 7:00 P.M. – COUNCIL CHAMBERS A. There are about 20 builders listed for the Ashwood developments, so if one is leaving, it doesn't mean that all development is stopped in that area. I drove by it the other day, and there ARE houses under contruction there (very nice, I might add).

I think they were just a little behind the curve on that subdivision. If that were done a few years ago, it would be sold out, but now, unfortunately at that price range, sales are not going to be brisk. That's why Kinloch isn't done yet either. King's Court builders sold off some of their lots to a bunch of other builders to get out of there faster.

Please drive IN TO (not drive by) Ashwood Creek, Park- most of the houses you see are MODEL HOMES- about 10 model homes in Ashwood Creek and 10 model homes in Ashwood Park. From 103rd to Wolf Road- Ashwood Crossings- no homes or retail- nothing.

This was the last 'niche' left- the newly constructed 750+ niche- as a person who has transferred often, and having lived in many cities- it is MUCH easier and quicker to sell a newer home that a 5+ year old home- and, when you are transferred a lot, you have to think about this aspect of home purchase!

So angry because of the commercial zoning changes? I would have a heart attack. I thought they had to tell you about that stuff. What did they tell her was going in there? Doesn't sound right to me.

I was at the doctors office with my son, so we didn't get to talk long. They have a lot to be angry about.
