There is no such thing as an unbiased person. We're all adults here. If you can't deal with that and need a babysitter to shield you from someone else's reality, then don't come here. that's garbage arch and you know it. You have a job to do as moderator and letting people know when they are out of line is one of them unless this site is just a free-for-all for those on the right side of the argument? show me anywhere where someone on the 'left' side of the argument has been reprimanded . Anywhere ? If it was too out of control- absolutely, but those situations are rare. As for anyone showing you the 'heel' if you said that - there have been plenty of times where you have been insulting to me with comments ..easily more than enough to get you reprimanded elsewhere or a few days off to even question a 'mod'. Is that really what you want here ? Are we adults heee or children that need someone to decided mods are above the law in what they can say or do, or that discourse short of cussing and swearing is not allowed ? -- amazing to me you support an anything is OK atmosphere with regards to WVHS .. yet want retributions for the word 'pig'. to borrow from your responses - WIll you be emotionally scarred by that ? Show me how and how long that will last so that I may understand. btw-- if you are offended by the word pig, I suggest you never ever venture into the Yahoo financial boards... |

maybe we can put filters in that change peoples written words for things as mundane as ' long commute' -- would that be unbiased ? Censorship can be also dangerous --- and the mods here have also taken some shots from you that would have gotten you banned elsewhere..or slapped on the wrist real hard. Within reason we try and let people work things out - hopefully you're not affected by that - short term- long term etc. One has to be resilient like we're asking the students to be...  I never called anyone a pig but If I did I can assure you I would have caught the heel end from you two. We know the result when the tides are turned though. Calling someone a pig is beyond "reason" IMO show me one post that would have gotten me banned elsewhere or slapped on the wrist. Never a name called...never a bad word typed. I know what constitutes a personal attack and I never once personally attacked someone. I may have responded to one in a negative fashion...but that is it. You and others are ultra sensitive to anyone not following the main theme here. Take the feedback because it is real doc. Gosh, we're still talking about this? Silly ole me, but when a SB President refers to a parent as a motherf*ck*r, I would think "pig" would be perfectly acceptable and quite benign. I am ever so sorry if I hurt your feelings. But I found your comments to warriordiva extremely insensitive and rude. |

The only suspension on here since I took over was one last election season that was actually a cartoon slam of Rasmus, Piehl, Rising and DeSart... it was a one-post account that signed up with obvious bogus stuff. At the time, I was very in favor of Jerry, Don, Doug and Eric and WOULD HAVE LEFT IT, if I acted like you think I am inclined to act... but I took it down after a complaint by one of the parties being depicted (even though I actually agreed with the cartoon) because the account that posted it was obviously bogus and it was a hit-and-run signup... again, even though I agreed with the cartoon depiction at the time. The poster never came back to crab, complain or to discuss it further.
So, how does that fit in with your logic of how you think I would act?

Could that be why Steckdad is so "offended"? you betcha - know for a fact that admin & SB reads here ( in fact I understand that our Super acknowledged that she'd be reasing about a comment she made at Fry the next day ) -- and attempts to minimalize audience is just for that fact. They know that for every person on this board- how many others do they talk to that do not participate on line anywhere. More 'data' from here is reaching Herald and Sun boards from those it apears are outside of being a member or guest here. And before I hear from one how we are patting ourselves on the back - there is no boasting. We know we have to reach a greater audience yet still- however we have evidene the reach is growing - however I'll take 250-300 'active' readers any day. Most do not go in every day so many of these are uique/ Lets say for the sake of arguement that the number is 1000 individual IP's per week. How many people do those people talk to ? With the voting apathy in the area- it just takes a solid core base of active people to make a difference like a PAC does. Just ask some of the PTSA group ;D This board content belongs to all the dedicated people who post/ research and read here. |
