'Ugly Americans' seen in D204
I have lived in quite a few towns and cities in Canada and the USA.
This is the first time that I am embarrassed to say that I live in one of them - namely, School District 204 of Naperville. The intolerance and arrogance of the suing parents is pitiful. I find it reflective of the ugly American stereotype.
(By the way, I am an American, having been born in Pennsylvania. After 30 years in Canada, I have returned to the USA with a different set of eyes.)
The biggest losers in all of this are the students. They have fewer opportunities for classes they want and after school activities in huge high schools with 3,000 plus students.
Once our school district has gone through our money for this court case, I suggest they wheel in the portables and/or have split shifts.

Take another vote on high school site
Once again, involved parents see deceitfulness in District 204.
And some are taking matters to the courts.
Yea! It's not just White Eagle and Tall Grass complaining about the decisions our board has made - it's also other parents that stay involved enough to see what is going on. We don't live in either subdivision mentioned and have complaints as well.
We voted on a particular parcel of land for a particular school with particular boundaries. How unethical for the board to take our votes and use them for something other than what was voted on. Especially for a parcel of land they initially ruled out because of health and safety issues!
What's wrong with you who are accepting it? I agree with the lawsuit and it's supporters - parents who know right from wrong and are willing to stick up for truth and honesty.
I believe that those supporting the lawsuit are doing so because they feel deceived in what was done with their vote - I am proud to see that fellow townspeople see this deceitfulness and are doing something about it.
I wish other "followers" would begin to start speaking up when they see a wrong and become someone to look up to.
In my opinion, another vote would be in order.
On many levels, we need to see this district become more honest and child-centered. If our new superintendent can't make things right, and it takes a court - so be it.

Lawsuit should be thrown out of court
Isn't it a bit hypocritical that the major proponents of a lawsuit against District 204 - Tall Grass - located their neighborhood pool 50 feet from an electrical substation on one side and 50 feet from high voltage power lines on another?
They must already know that The National Research Council spent more than three years reviewing more than 500 scientific studies that had been conducted over a 20-year period and found "no conclusive and consistent evidence" that electromagnetic fields harm humans.
Or, could it be that they are so thoughtful that they care for others' children more than their own? I will let you decide.
This lawsuit has absolutely no basis and should be immediately thrown out of court!
