confused:
They will have their freinds from Peterson with them at Crone. Right now we split from Peterson to Scullen, while the Ashwood folks goto Crone. IMO I'd rather keep the kids together from ES going to MS.
Sure, if they split the middle school some of their new freinds could go to a different HS, but that doesn't mean the end of a good freindship.
Heck, My daugher still sees freinds she made at Naperville Montessori PreSchool, some of which live as far away as White Eagle...

I do not see how Crone can not be split if the line comes down 59. (And no I am not saying that is a bad thing.)

I completely agree....Someone that doesn't benefit from the outcome lots of them - ( gee I wonder why ) www.strategicwest.com/Creating long-term facility master (capital improvement) plans Addressing growth management issues with local governments and developers Analyzing the effects of demographic and enrollment changes on infrastructure and capacity utilization Preparing educational specifications (general) School site planning based upon development potential and utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Facilitating committee and public meetings/processes, including establishing decision making criteria Preparing forecasts at all geographic and school levels for a range of demographics Formulating solutions for school districts and other local governments that are faced with growth, decline, or fiscal complexities Prepared build out analyses for school districts showing residential development potential, subsequent enrollment expectations and capacity needs by school level by area. At least Peterson will have more students at Crone being split off at the HS level, rather than if it was just the Ashwood folks.

If the line comes down Rt 59, then there are 4 MS in that "Area": WV Gold, Still, Scullen, Crone.
There are 100% gonna be splits, or massive bussing...

Has the SB used a consulting firm before? It would have been a good idea before converting to the gold campuses.

To me avoiding splits is a priority. I know some on this board feel differently, but neat clean boundaries that make sense over the long run makes sense to me. That is why I proposed Welch/WE to Still. Yes, it stinks that some of Welch is so close to NV, but it is also very close to 83rd. It avoids a lot of MS splitting. I do get it that it is unavoidable to have a few splits, but a few is better then a lot.
The West of 59, I feel, has been choosen to close the gap and this I oppose too, since test scores change over time, but geography does not. At the last boundaries b/t BG and JC it was finally voted geography not bussing and splitting. This would also eliminate Century Traces long commute.
I too would also like to see Watt/Clow get a better deal. All I know is that I really don't like this site!!!
