Wow! Such anger. Once again, because of the unknown land issue, enrollment figures all over the board, and an empty elementary school were some of the reasons I voted no. At that time, you guys were all over my case. The talk of closing WV while at the same time telling the taxpayers that the new school will cost 146M now to build. It's not just the 146M, think about ALL the extras that go into opening a new school - ALL types of uniforms from band to football and everything in between. Instruments, gym equipment, xtra chairs, even stupid letterhead......hte list goes on and on. So now you think they will cash all that in to close WV? This is really getting pathetic.

What enrollment figures are all over the board? The are pretty well known for the next 8 years.
There is no empty elementary school.

Nice try, but no envy here. My kids went to NVHS. Does that mean you have no kids in 204 or you still have some number at NV?

The district needs it. It's deja vu all over again with the same tired "no need for another school" thing.

Bob 1) Wheatland kids moved to Peterson - at least 450 students moved - half the school empty. 2) We now somehow have plenty of space for all day K
Gumby - you can say all you want about deja vu - What I am really tired of is all the YES voters now bickering about the location and boundaries etc.
I really hope the SB is happy with what they have done to this district. They SOLD this whole mess to the voters. Whatever - they have their "BLANKCHECK" in hand now. They can do whatever they want!

You said empty school and it is not empty. It has 450 kids in it. Since it looks like AME is the site, Macom can start building houses again.

It would still be empty if they had not closed Wheatland!

It would still be empty if they had not closed Wheatland! It also wouldn't be empty if someone had built and sold homes like they planned.

It would still be empty if they had not closed Wheatland! But Wheatland is now filled with a pre-k program that is helping kids that really need help. It is also being used as storage saving the SD a 6 figure sum. SO which do you hate more helping the kids that really need it or saving a six figure sum in storage costs? Plus Peterson was built with state funds not SD money. Guess you don't like schools that were basically free?

Gosh, I wonder if that had anything to do with how that someone got turned into a WVHS island in the middle NVHS ocean right after construction got started? (Not bitter just pointing out the facts) This is one thing that will most likely change now. All my surrounding west of 59 friends will be coming to join us.

You have got to be kidding me? That is your comment??? I heard on the news today that one of the reasons the housing market is not even in worse shape was because builders held off building spec homes THAT WOULD JUST SIT THERE!!! Hello - WE WILL NOT BE GETTING ANYTIME SOON THE MAJOR INFLUX OF STUDENTS THAT THE DISTRICT THOUGHT WE WOULD! HENSE- A HALF EMPTY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, ANOTHER ONE WHICH CLOSED AND NOW ROOM TO HOUSE FULL DAY K!

Technically more like a MV and NV ocean since Fry was going to BB MV. You are completely right. I stand corrected.
