Gumby and why is that? Just because we are mad that we are being moved from a school that is in our backyard? It is ok for the Watts area to complain about being so close to Central? The SB and the media created this stereotype. Come on over to my house and see what we are really like and even though we have this stereotype that is no reason to be able to stick it to us.

Unfortunately TG has a credibility problem. But, in this area--the wild randomness of the boundaries--everyone seems to be potentially an equal opportunity screwee. How did the Administration's and SB member's home turf weather the storm? There used to be a map from a long tima go on these forums I think showing where the SB members and SD officials live. I'd love to know the answer to the question myself. Unless someone beats me to it, I can do a little digging.

Hey, I'm not ranking on you and TG one bit. I've got friends that live there for whom I feel badly. We even considered moving there ourselves about 7 years ago (too far from the train station for my taste). TG was a little, if you will, vocal at some of the boundary meetings from the last go-round. I think that impression has stayed.

Possible, small tweaks in the south/middle sections, but you won't be able to get around the geographic layout. Plus, they will have to greatly explain any changes from this map forward.

I hope someone asks how many extra busses will be required to make this thing work. It is ridiculous to think that Longwood to MV is 26 min, yet Watts to MV is 30. TThe only way to do that is with a fleet of busses at Watts, and 1 lonely buss wandering aimlessly through Longwood. Even in that scenario, I think 30 minutes is optimistic.
To me this looks like they added or subtracted busses in order to average out transportation times and make everything look fair. Ultimately, this gamesmanship is causing everyone to loose out. Kids get stuck on the busses longer, we pay more in transportation, and it's likely to increase traffic as parents/teens at places like Longwood and Brooks decide they don't want their kids to spend 26 or 28 minutes on the bus and decide to drive them.
This plan is a classic example of creating data to support a pre-determined result.

This plan is a classic example of creating data to support a pre-determined result. I guess that is the only thing that can explain the times on the avg bus route map. If that's the case, you are right. Many will drive their kids 2-3 miles so they don't have to sit on the bus 30 minutes.

I'm looking some more at these times, and they are really out there. 22 minutes from Gombert to WV? Is that by camel? Horse-drawn carriage?
