My guess w/o splitting grade schools
MV MW Col Young BD Brooks Owen WV Gt,Gom, WE,Pet,Fry McC Steck NV Wel, Clow SB Pat Ken Bul Graham
Just looking at this possible boundaries, it doesn't look like much of a gap is going to close.
Does anyone have the test scores for each grade school on one sheet?

The enrollmewnt numbers unfortunately don't work, MV is too low(yes i added LW), WV is too high, NV is too low. But running the scores anyway
current 88.4 -93.6
AME 88.8 - 93,1

I will run them Well, I hate to be a broken record but the numbers don't work. MV is too low, WV is too high and NV is too low. I hope that can be fixed by someone on the SB. But running the scores "as is" I get current .. 88.4 - 93.6 AME 88.8 -93.1 Iguess you could call that an improvement I thought I read somewhere that D doesn't care about that. He wants simple geographical based attendance areas

NV can't be too low. It hasn't changed from the BB boundaries.
I think they have to change one school from WV to MV.
Move McC or Gt to MV.

Bob, you removed Old Wheatland from NV
With no splits...
MV = BD< BRKS< LW< YNG< MCTY< COW< MW
WV = STK, GT, GOM, OW, FRY, PET
NV = BU, CLOW, SB, PAT, GRM, KNDL, WEL, WE
The achievement gap goes from
current 88.4 - 93.6
AME = 89.4- 93.2

You can't move either Georgetown or McC because they are walkers to Waubonsie. All fingers point to Gombert which then would be bused past one HS to attend another and that negates what Dr. D said about how the boundaries are going to be drawn up. Not complaining, just commenting.

Those two schools would at extreme opposites in the district. they are part of that vacuum called the 75th street corridor -- although I think they are the longest shot - you cannot rule out they will be asked to go north - based on conversations yesterday it seems no school splitting is the main focus -- if that is held to the letter of the law than Owen is likely next after Watts - it's either that or WE - who do you think will go ? The north end of Owen ( Brighton Ridge is on 75th street) and if no McCarty or Steck kids go north, and no Gombert -- congratulations - Owen will replace Watts as having the longest commute. Studies were done on bus routes for each school to each HS - so they already know the distance and time. For Owen's sake I hope they are not included as I wish this nonsense on no one - but they should not rest easy until this is announced - sometime in February is what we were told yesterday. Remember WVHS is now called a WESTERN SCHOOL' and Owen is East just like Watts. I believe at this point just about anything could be justified

Where are you getting your info? IPSD only shows the 06-07. Young is really a 96.3?

I thought that's what some are advocating here. I don't see a problem with increased drive times and distances. I've been converted and have seen the light now. Call me Mikey.

With no split areas, Owen has to go north. Unless the plan is for WV and NV to remain crowded while MV has about 2000 kids in it.
Using the 30-30-40 split and 9100 students
2730 MV 2730 WV 3640 NV
These are the totals we should be shooting for
