We are currently investigating fiscally responsible land options that will move construction forward to ease the overcrowding. Interesting that he did not state "move construction forward on the new high school" What construction is he talking about...? A middle school on 25 BB acres and additions to existing schools? That would mean another ref. That probably doesn't have a snowball's chance of passing after what this school board and admin have put us through.

I thought the same thing 204mom. Strange wording although, he might have written it vaguely on purpose.

Plainfield... just to the south and east and ready to go by Aug 2008 brand spankin new HS - put up for $56M if I recall. Offer them $112M ( double their money) as growth has slowed - has all the amenities and ready for students - can do it this fall -- east of the tracks -- close to the area of future population growth. The land I believe is actually in Bolingbrook ( I know the land next to it is, and we have students from there. eliminates crowding tomorrow.

Honestly, it would be quite brilliant if they got MWGEN to fall on their sword to cover up for their incompetence. Quite a good face-saving measure.
Get MWGEN to back out (ooohhh, what a surprise!) and get MWGEN to sling mud on the citizens of D204 (oooh, we have great parents, see my email from yesterday; we love the parents!).

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Plainfield high schools are not comparable to WV and NV - no pool, etc.

So are we looking at yet another lawsuit from Midwest Generation?
BB is to expensive unless of course you build a smaller school. or the SD goes ahead with the plan and we reep yet another referendum to finish off the school.
What I really want to know and have continually been asking is what have we paid in legal fees? Who is responsible to pay for all the testing etc at Midwest Generation?
School will not be ready by 2009 - maybe 2010. That is 4 years after the referendum passed. What has our district done about the so called overcrowding? Nothing!!
Housing is down, enrollment is down. Yes, there is a bubble working through the system just like in other districts. I would say look at another alternative - such as a Frontier campus up north to help the crowding at WV. Put portables in place if need be at the middle schools. Again, Neuqua was always meant to be added onto if need be (that is what we were told during the freshman campus referendum), If need be do that as well.

Hamman? Macom? The fiscally responsible puts BB out, IMO If not BB it has to be Macom. Lehman is a willing seller. MM will have to get on his knees and do some butt kissing. I wonder what MM is thinking now?

SOmeone maybe can look into
