As for fascination with ED, this is Naperville and people talk. For someone who believes this board is in need of sensitivity training, you neglected to acknowledge that this district includes Aurora. Very sensitive issue to some of us but then I guess it depends on where you are coming from.

Don't forget Plainfield and Bolingbrook. Sorry, my bad. By the way, I am positive you meant no disrespect to Aurora, Plainfield, or Bolingbrook. It is an example of pulling a post out of context and using it to prove a point.

Let me see if I'm understanding this 'concern'.
The concern is that people who posted things used the ability they had since day 1 to modify/retract/change their post?
Um... So what? Everyone has that ability and if someone for their own reason wants to then they can.
If you complain that they took down something that might have been considered offensive to some I would venture a guess that you would equally complain if they left it up. In other words, complain just to complain.
That being said, I think the whole modify/deleted post thing is now moot.
What's your remaining issue? (Woops, I modified my post to add this last question!!! Quick Call the Herald!!!!! There's a Conspiracy going on!!!!)

Since there's not much going on in 204 right now, I guess some feel the need to stir things up. I'll try to staighten a few things out. - A post can be modified or deleted by the original poster at any time, until the thread is locked. So, for example, I could post something today, have a bunch of responses, then delete it. This is why people should quote what they're responding to. When a post is deleted, the numbering is updated. - The "KK clan" comment was something that I stated. I was talking about "Kevin Knight, the School Board candidate" - anyone that was on this forum knows that the shorthard for this is "KK the SB candidate". The alliteration of "KK clan" is what came to mind when I made my post. I'm sure many of you have quickly entered a post without re-reading it 100 times to make sure it's 100% PC (and had correct spelling & grammar). Apparently peopl have tried to turn this into KKK (please note that the spelling of the last word is different). I went back and modiified my post to clarify, and saying something like "sorry if someone reads this the wrong way". I did not delete my post or remove the KK clan comment, because I thought that this would imply that I thought I had done or said something wrong. I'm pretty sure that I'm not a racist, and if everyone would feel better, I authorize the Admins to modify/delete my original post in the locked thread (if that's possible) if they think this will help reduce the negative impressions that some people want to publicize about this forum. I hope this helps clarify some things. Offering feedback as requested is not stirring up the pot, but you would not have know that was requested. I agree that posts can be modified but I was told that a post which was repeatedly being stated was nonexistent was removed after the election was over. A thread having a certain number of pages and overnight shrinking to several pages less seems a bit odd IMHO. I can accept your explanation of the KK comment as possibly being true, but you don't know if you are racist or not? How can a person be pretty sure they are not racist? I will give you the benefit of the doubt, but again you are pretty sure? Hmmmm I said "pretty sure" because, as mentioned earlier, who really decides? As far as I know, I'm not. Maybe in some people's minds I am, based on my comment, even thought I meant nothing by it. That's their problem, I guess. I'm done explaining it. Here's the thing: would ANYONE actually admit to being a racist? Not many people would. I can state more afirmatively that I am not, but I don't want to debate that here.

Don't forget Plainfield and Bolingbrook. You are correct that I do live in Naperville and have lived in Aurora. I meant this is Naperville SD and people talk (yes we say Indian Prairie but commonly referred to as Naperville Schools). I have friends with children at Nancy Young, Colishow and WVHS and they too say Naperville Schools. But if anyone was offended, my apologies.

YOU may say Naperville schools but that would be very incorrect and very insensitive. I was not offended until you explained yourself.

But calling people's post racist is. If you piss in someone's pool, don't expect to be invited back. I would agree wholeheartedly if ED had not laid several bird droppings that have fallen on others and he remained. And he is not the only one. But I am not the admin, so do as you please. Free country.

I am greatly offended because you again said 204 is a Naperville SD which it is not. Mince words if we want and institute words of mass distraction. When I lived in Aurora and people said Naperville Schools, I was not insulted in any way at all. And my friends that live in Aurora are not either and still do refer to their kids going to Naperville Schools. Now that we have cleared the air, I await more information on date/time for get together so I can voice my suggestions face to face since I do stand behind what I say/feel.

A Naperville school district ?-- well that will come as a surprise to those in the attendance areas for: AURORA Brooks Georgetown Gombert McCarty Steck Young BOLINGBROOK Builta -- I too live in Naperville (for 20 years) but have always called the district Indian Prairie -- or just 204 when people ask me where my kids go to school. I remember back 10+ years ago when there was a faction who wanted to call Neuqua - Naperville South. I didn't understand it then, but maybe all these people you mention who call 204 a Naperville school district could explain it ?

I have lived in this district for almost 18 years. Those who say Naperville schools have their own reason for doing so, usually motivated by the desire NOT to be associated with Aurora. It is incorrect and insensitive to state that we are in Naperville schools. Is it okay for you to insult half the district this way? I don't think so. Yet, you continue to defend it.
