Maybe. I remember the boundary committee being extremely careful not to set up boundaries that would worsen the Aurora/Naperville divide and this is why they chose to go with a north/south dividing line instead of east/west. However, now we are faced with the unexpected division in the district between north and south in addition to the Aurora/Naperville divide with Aurora WV being seen by some as the worst and Naperville NV as the best. Did I miss something at those boundary meetings? From what I have seen, the boundaries that were ultimately decided on will lessen the Aurora/Naperville divide (and the achievement gap) considerably. In fact, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Matea (located in Aurora) will probably end up being the highest achieving school of the three. Who knows what the outcome will be eventually, but IIRC - given, I think, the grade school scores at the time of the boundary discussion, I believe, with the final selected boundaries, NV was projected as having the highest average score, with MV and WV being lower, and very similar. And the gap between NV and the others was smaller than it currently is between NV and WV.

justvote, I think they meant the boundary process 10 years ago when the boundaries were being decided for the New Neuqua Valley High school. I could be wrong, but that is the way I read the post. Thanks, yes, I thought we were specifically discussing the naming and opening of Neuqua. This has nothing to do with last year. Sorry about that, I misunderstood. I forget that there were many more boundary processes prior to the contentious one that occurred in recent history (I was actually on a boundary committee back in 2000).

I don't know why you would find that odd. Thanks to the explanation that was made (which was not quite considerate) I am savvy on terms used on this site. Don't assume that users are engrossed with the "operations" of how this site works with administrative logistics. If a person does not know or forgets, then they simply don't know. Not a crime or should be questioned. Again, why must comments seem to be analyzed so deeply when one may challenge another persons statements. No response necessary because we are going on to new things.....atleast I thought so. Face to face is a good idea because hiding behind screen names and postings prohibits us from truly knowing what a person is truly about. I bet that when we all meet, some will be surprised to learn who others are and say, "Hmmmm, I know her from ____ and he/she is actuallu a nice gal/guy." It is possible.... Funny - I felt that my post has been "analyzed so deeply", but I'm OK with it. I explained & if anyone doesnt like it, fine. Another funny thing - I'm not sure that there are many suggestions for improvement in the 8 pages of posts on this topic - it's kinds of degraded - maybe I should create a new thread to start fresh? Which post are you referring to? If it is your KK clan post, that doesn't require anaylizing. It speaks for itself. But you did make an attempt to explain so thank you.

I'd venture a guess that if someone said the MD clan or the AT clan or the CB clan, or the SC clan, or the MM clan to refer to the group of supporters surrounding and helping the other candidates, no one would have said over a month later that it "speaks for itself" If Kevin's last name started with an 'S', again, no one would have batted an eyelash at it.
I wish people would stop trying to project their own interpretations outward as if someone else meant it that way.
Is that calendar done yet? What lunch times are available?
If we really wanted to analyze posts we could analyze the discrepancy about someone saying they got interested on their own after reading a newspaper article and reading some posts about all the hub-bub versus another's claim that they were sent here by their wife to get more involved while she withheld the knowledge that she had a printout scrap-booked that contained what she wanted him to read in the first place... but that's neither here nor there.

Thanks for privately saying one thing to me, via PM, and then saying something else here in this post. I appreciate the support. Actually, I didn't "make an attempt" to explain. I really did explain it. You can chose to believe it, or not - I really don't care. Why are you belaboring this point? What are you hoping to gain? I'd love it if we could be back on topic. My guess is that this thread will get locked soon, like so many others, because people can't seem to stay on topic.
